Count me in! One of my favorites checks all those boxes. You can’t go wrong with Iced Honey Matcha Latte. It’s made with Kettl matcha, housemade almond macadamia milk, and a touch of California wildflower honey. There’s a new Chicken Caesar salad. I went in expecting the usual humdrum, but I couldn't stop eating it! Then there’s the GGET BLT on toasted sourdough. With applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, Kewpie mayo, and a kick of chipotle sauce, I had to try it even though it wasn't my dish. One bite turned into three, and suddenly I was stealing more than just a taste. The bread? Hearty, rustic, and the perfect texture, balancing everything just right. They’ve also got bagels from JYAN ISAAC BREAD, and if you know, you know—these are fabulous and rival Courage bagels in my opinion. Don’t come for me; I love Courage too! It’s a blend of corn milk, corn cream, a shot of espresso, and topped with a baked corn crumble—so creamy and sweet, it hits the spot every time. While I settled in, I took a look at their menu to see what else they offered. There’s the Butter Latte, which sounds amazing with its blend of butterscotch, caramel, and espresso—definitely something I want to try next time! They also have the Honey Bee, crafted with cinnamon, honeycomb, and cream. And if you’re a matcha lover, the Matchaest has ceremonial matcha with your choice of cream and milk. As I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, music is really good btw, I noticed the tasty food options. They’ve got Kimchi Fried Rice—a mix of rice, kimchi, bacon, arugula, a sunny side up egg, and avocado. There’s also Bibimbap, loaded with spinach, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and your choice of seasoned beef or tofu. If you’re in the mood for something hearty, their Burger comes with a croissant bun, fresh beef patty, bulgogi sauce, and a side of fries. Happy Hour! 🍻 Monday to Friday 3pm-7pm and everyday 9:30pm to close with a $10 food menu that includes pizza, a cheeseburger, street tacos, and banh mi fries but I saw you can also order wings, wraps, all day breakfast options like chicken & waffles, churro waffles, pancakes, and a breakfast burrito. We finally decided to check out Tu Madre on Larchmont during their Feliz Hour from 5 PM to 6 PM. We drove past a bunch of times, always eyeing those cozy outdoor tables and their cool vibe. Plus, finding parking was a breeze—there’s plenty of it since this part of Larchmont isn’t too crazy. We walked in and hit with this warm, welcoming energy. The staff, especially the manager, treated us like we were old friends, which was rare and nice! The Feliz Hour menu had some solid options. I went for the organic margarita—$10 and so worth it! This thing was strong and refreshing, not like that watered-down stuff some places serve during happy hour. Next, the XL Nachos for $14. We couldn't resist adding carne asada for just $4. Between the two of us, we absolutely demolished them. Then came the Braised Beef Burrito. It was loaded with guajillo braised beef, avocado tomatillo salsa, turmeric brown rice, mozzarella, and poblano ranch wrapped in a grilled tortilla. I honestly considered going rogue and keeping it for myself, but it was his order, so I had to let it go (barely). Good drinks, dog-friendly vibes, and a relaxed atmosphere make Tu Madre a spot you wanna hang out at. If it’s a nice day, definitely sit outside! After we were done, we strolled Larchmont Boulevard, and you've gotta stop for dessert. Levain Bakery is a must for their cookies, and if you’re in the mood for cake, Sweet Lady Jane has its iconic triple berry slice. That’s when we saw @princestreetpizza known for its legendary Sicilian “SoHo” Squares and authentic Neapolitan pizzas. Tbh just got a skin treatment and starving. Popped into Cookbook on Larchmont and really enjoyed this pasta and steak. I think it’s cacio e pepe and while those were magnificent the fries were not great meaning cold, and absolutely no crispness or crunch. It’s a dog friendly and casual spot w quality food. The ice creams are tasty with the hot flavors of strawberry, Thai tea, and green Thai tea. Their mango sticky rice 🥭🍚 is $10 and sells quickly. During a sunny dog walk in Hollywood, I stumbled upon a café called Coco’s Kanom Thai. I popped in to grab some treats, including their famous mango sticky rice and fluffy pandan chiffon cakes filled with baby coconut and cream. Some of our business clients couldn’t stop raving about the mango sticky rice, and I loved the Jasmine matcha with almond milk. It was sensational! The ceremonial grade matcha combined with the floral notes created a super refreshing and absolutely delicious unique drink. I kept passing by restaurants, but all I could think about were chicken kabobs 🍢 fluffy basmati rice, hummus, and crispy steak-cut fries (my usual is No. 11). My stomach was growling like crazy. I pulled up Yelp and saw we were super close to Massis Kabob. When we got there, I was blown away by the parking lot, how spacious it was, both inside and outside. Plus, they’re dog-friendly! Once we settled in, the smells coming from the kitchen had me drooling. I couldn’t believe the portion sizes—very generous! The kabobs were perfect and so good with the basmati rice and those steak-cut fries. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the yogurt drink; it just wasn’t my thing.
