Figure out your hair porosity by doing a "water test". Cut a few strands of clean, dry hair (close to the scalp) get a glass of regular, room temperature water. Drop your hair into the glass if it sinks to the bottom (after 30'ish secs to a few minutes) you have high porosity hair (if it sits on top you have low porosity hair see the "Low Porosity Hair Products" list!) If your hair sits somewhere in the middle you have medium porosity hair (that list will is being crafter now).

Test to determine if you have low, medium or high porosity hair. Cut (or pull) a few (just 2-3) pieces of clean, dry hair. Place in a glass of room temp water. If the hair floats you have low porosity hair. If the hair sinks you have high porosity hair. If the hair is floating somewhere in the middle you have medium porosity hair. Why does it matter you ask? Knowing the porosity of your hair will help you determine the best hair care routine for healthy, thriving, shiny, amazing looking hair!

These are the amazing items that I use after I get out of the shower! While in the shower, I double cleanse with a bar soap (Dove shea butter & vanilla) and a body wash (Billie Vanilla). Once a week I use a body scrub (Bodycology S’more or TreeHut Vanilla) in between the bar soap and the body wash. Then when I get out of the shower I use all these great products!
