I went in expecting just another Christmas movie. You know, cookie cutter low drama, holiday romance.
This isn’t that.
It’s categorized as a romantic comedy, but I found it surprisingly engaging. More poignant than funny. Though there were some funny parts.
Plus… there’s a gorgeous dog!
I really enjoyed it!

Teen ghost hunters break the rules and outdo adult run agencies.
Add in one intriguing mystery that the teens get deeper and deeper into unraveling and you'll find yourself completely ensnared.
It's creepy without being too much for younger audiences but also engaging enough to hold adult attention as well!
The casting is phenomenal. A great adaptation from page to screen!
I loved it and look forward to a second season!

You know how someone says something is like a trainwreck that you cannot look away from? That is this movie.
It’s so outrageous that I genuinely cringed at so many parts. I found myself literally laughing aloud because I was like “what the eff am I even watching”.
Aubrey Plaza is by far the best part of the entire film. She’s so damn quirky and intense. But her fate had me perplexed.
Is it a cinematic masterpiece? Definitely not. Not even close.
Is it entertaining? Uh, sure. Somewhat.

I wanted to watch this movie because I absolutely LOVE both Anthony Mackie and David Harbour. And the premise was intriguing.
I went into thinking it was a comedy. And it was… sort of.
It makes fun of ridiculous social media “influencers” and the allure of going viral and cashing in. But then, the plot thickened. It got super good and it got downright deep. Comedy, complex relationships, heart, and mystery. It had it all.
The relationship between Kevin and Ernest was so touching. And it was a stark contrast to the strained relationship between Kevin and his dad.
I cared about these characters. They made me laugh. They made my roll my eyes. They made me incredibly angry. They made me root for them. Some made me hope they saw the error of their ways and redeemed themselves. And they made me cry. Sob really. ...
We loved this movie.
It was so much more than we expected and it was quite a wonderful surprise!

Daddy and Uncle are eye candy and I appreciated them.
The female lead is gorgeous.
If you’ve seen any of the above mentioned movies, you’ve already basically seen this movie. And those are much better.

I really liked it. But I mean… Adam Brody. Seth Cohen is nowhere to be found in this movie since Trevor is a heavily tattooed ex-con.

Y’all… Christopher’s voice… Mercy. He is phenomenal. His voice literally touches my soul.
It’s basically the “boy from the wrong side of the tracks” but in his case, a wharf in Denmark, and the rich girl, a world’s famous musician’s daughter who is a brilliant music producer.
But wow… it’s moving. It’s heartfelt. It’s romantic. It BROKE my heart. And then, it put me back together as I sobbed uncontrollably while smiling.
The music. The plot. The cast. Everything.
It’s all absolutely perfect.
It gets a 20 out of 10 for me and I highly recommend it.
I also recommend you go find Christopher’s songs because holy sh*t.

As a Christian woman who has complete and utter Faith in God, this show just took me on a rollercoaster. I assumed I knew what this was about. I was wrong.
If you have Faith, watch it. If your Faith is waivering, watch it. If you don’t believe what I believe, watch it.
It very adequately showcases the world today. Darkness and Light.

But that fact aside, this is a beautiful and poignant story of life, and love, after loss.
Love, loss, heartbreak, grief, pain, inspiration, bravery, humor, and compassion are all intricately woven into the story.
While the main focus is on Mira and Rob, we also get to feel and witness Celiene Dion’s real life heartbreak from losing her husband.
The characters are relatable and enjoyable. The story is realistic.
Love can come from the most unexpected places, but honesty is important is the message and the takeaway.
Nick Jonas’s cameo as the douchey gym rat trying to get laid is also hilarious.
Apparently it flopped at the box office and was originally titled #TextForYou, but I really liked it.

This is labeled as RomCom. It had some funny bits.
I personally love Netflix RomComs and this one was no exception.
She's stunningly beautiful and driven Australian. Very headstrong in her ways.
He's a Brit whose always doing all he can with the hope of making his career-driven father proud. Even if it means giving up his own dreams.
Until... they meet.
The chemistry was good. The cast was nice. The story was predictable but enjoyable.
The accent's were a lovely a bonus.
Was the movie groundbreakingly amazing and moving? No.
Was it enjoyable? Absolutely.
Beautiful scenery. Just the right amount of sexual tension. A quirky and aesthetically pleasing, and sounding, cast. And a light romance on screen.

There is no real "ending" to the show but it leaves you with enough information so you are able to create your own conclusion.
As someone who likes supernatural, visually engaging shows, I enjoyed it.
Plus… Scottish accents. Who doesn’t love the Scots?!

Let me tell y’all something…
Daisy Jones & the Six was one of the best shows I have EVER seen.
Coming from me, that’s saying a lot.
Daisy Jones & The Six follows "a rock band in the 1970s from their rise in the LA music scene to becoming one of the most famous bands in the world and explores the reason behind their split at the height of their success."
Starring: Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Camila Morrone, Suki Waterhouse, Will Harrison, Josh Whitehouse, Sebastian Chacon, Nabiyah Be, Tom Wright, and Timothy Olyphant
Daisy and Billy are such complex characters. They have so many layers and both are so effing broken.
While I rooted for Billy throughout the show, I immensely disliked Daisy. They basically made the same choices but I related to them so differently.
I could not stand Daisy for most of the show. I felt she was utterly dislikable and selfish. Until she wasn’t anymore. Somehow my perception of her completely changed and I felt for her. She absolutely shattered my heart.
Billy… ah, Billy. Also a selfish character but he tried so hard. He really did. And because of that, my heart forgave him for pretty much everything he did.
The other characters were all so well developed. They reeled me in.
I was not really a Camila “fan”. I thought some of her choices were downright stupid. But I understood them. The heart wants what the heart wants.
Graham just had me wrapped around his ginger. Eddie broke my heart. Warren was just super fun. Karen was superb, though that chick ended up crushing me!
Teddy was a phenomenal character. The father figure everyone needed.
Simone was one of my favorites! I so badly wanted her to win at life. I rooted for her like I was personally invested.
The show takes place like an interview with cutbacks to the event and times the characters are speaking about and it’s flipping brilliant.
There is a lot of drug use, alcohol abuse, mental health struggles, some violence, and some traumatic situations that may be hard for certain viewers to handle. But it’s all conveyed perfectly.
And the end, the catapult… I never saw it coming.
Love, betrayal, friendship, family, accomplishment, failure, and redemption… it has it all.
And the music… GAH! The music. (And side note, Sam Claflin is ACTUALLY singing. Swoon.)
The cast was absolutely perfect.
I cannot recommend the show enough.
Do not sit on it! Go watch!

A boy pushed into a life he doesn’t want by an overbearing, selfish parent who cares more about managing his son’s career and making money than being a father.
A girl dealing with the death of her brother and feeling completely lost.
An unlikely connection that is real and deep.
Ms. Sweeney just stole my heart. A bitter and angry old woman living behind a facade that has left her alone and heartbroken.
The town drunk who is so much more than meets the eye.
Things aren’t always what they seem.
Drama, angst, passion, betrayal, selfishness, loss, heartbreak, hope, redemption, and love. It has it all.
Highly recommend the movie!

Notable differences between the book and movie:
1- Alex is an only child. 2- His parents are still together. 3- The Queen is The King. 4- Journalist (I’ll leave it at that) 5- The VP candidate is not in the movie. 6- Movie is WAY less political.
I read the book. By focusing on the love story of Alex and Henry and skipping over ALL of the political stuff, I finished it.
The movie is 95% about their love story and I absolutely LOVED it!
The chemistry was incredible. I was involved and moved. I swooned.
I prayed the movie would be exactly what it was. And I’m so glad it was.
Book got like 3 stars from me. Movie gets 5 stars!

Watched Culpa Mia (My Fault) today and I enjoyed it WAY more than I thought I would.
In fact, I ordered the book and preordered the other two in the series.
The typical normal girl meets the rich stepbrother and falls for his bad boy ways.
But the "sexy" scenes were super hot.
She's 17 and he's 21-22.
I quite enjoyed it!
Movie is Spanish dubbed into English and only the first book has been translated into English. Second will be available in English in December and third will be available in English in February.
In fact, I ordered the book and preordered the other two in the series.

I went into this thinking I was getting one thing and I got something else completely. In the best possible way.
I love to dance. I’ve always loved to dance. My daughter is a very skilled dancer and dancing is a huge part of our lives.
Music is also very important to me. Music inspires me and is a necessary part of my life. Music is my constant companion. It always has been.
I thought this would be a cute, fun, lighthearted movie. But it hit me in the feels. Like socked me.
Johnnie, a very skilled violinist, is in desperate need of a visa to stay in America. He’s in America illegally and lives very cautiously because of it.
Ruby is an insanely talented ballet dancer who is attending school on scholarship. But she’s rigid. A perfectionist. And very hard on herself.
I thought I was getting freaking Center Stage, which I love but it’s hardly life changing, and I got so very much more.
The main characters are real. They draw you in. You root for them. You want them to WIN.
There’s heart. There’s sexual tension. There’s drama. And there’s inspiration.
All in all, I absolutely LOVED this movie.
Plus… it’s a younger Nicholas Galitzine. You know, Prince Henry from Red, White, and Royal Blue. And Purple Heart. This man has stolen my heart.
Just watch this movie! Do it.

I think it premiered on Hallmark Channel last night. But it’s on Peacock TV today.

I really enjoyed this one.
Rival deli owners, a matchmaking service, meddling families that you just love, and two grandmothers trying to fulfill their deceased immigrant mother’s greatest dreams.
Though I completely guessed the end, Iit was still touching and beautiful.
As a huge fan of holiday romance AND Jeremy Jordan (Supergirl alum) I recommend it and give it a thumbs up.

This slap-stick comedy horror was very reminiscent of SyFy movies. And I LOVE crappy SyFy movies.
It’s listed as comedy horror, but there was zero horror in my opinion. Which I loved as a non-fan of horror. There was some gore because… werewolf.
The characters were a whole ass mess of crazy train and I really enjoyed them.
My hubby and I rolled our eyes at the absurdity but really laughed at the same time.

Vampire Academy series is my absolute FAVORITE vampire series of all time.
After that disaster movie that bombed, and enraged me, I went into the Peacock TV show with extremely high expectations and knowing I’d have to disassociate the books from this show.
My thoughts…
Though I was VERY anxious about the casting because they weren’t what I pictured in my head… it works in the show.
Rose is a badass. Lissa wears the crown well though she isn’t blonde. Christian is broody, angsty, and nails the character. Well done. Dimitri… indeed. He’s actually great and the chemistry between he and Rose… 🔥 Is he the image I created in my head? No. Not even close. But… he works as Dimitri. Mason is totally likeable and great casting! The Strigoi were literally EXACTLY as I envisioned. I went in hoping to love it and expecting it to miss the mark. Julie Plec has let me down multiple times in the past. But… It hasn’t. From cast to location to script to portrayal, it is executed well and I am pleased. The first episode firmly ensnared me and I’m eager for more. As the season went on, I became even more enraptured and I LOVE IT! I WANT MORE! They better renew it ASAP and get started on Season 2.

The acting was atrocious. The script was preposterous. It was an eye-rolling, snorting from the absurdity good time. And I loved every second.

Lots and lots of split screen stuff, but that's because there's a top and bottom. The characters are kind of simple, no complexity at all. But it was decent.
I give it a 3 out of 5.

My thoughts after watching!
One of my family’s favorite movies is Passengers with Chris Pratt (love him SO much) and Jennifer Lawrence.
We probably watch it at least once a month.
And we always have the discussion about the morality of the movie.
I absolutely cannot judge the choices Jim, Chris Pratt’s character, made in the movie. I have no idea what I would have done.
On the one hand, it was morally wrong. But on the other, if he hadn’t done what he did, then, everyone’s fate would have been vastly different.
We go back and forth and the conversation is always very in depth and enlightening.
Aurora’s, Jennifer Lawrence’s, words at the end get me every single time.

Kevin Spacey is the only negative thing in this movie. I wish he wasn't in it, and he does spoil it for me some now becasue he's a disgusting human being, but I just overlook it and concentrate in the rest of the movie. I replace him in my mind.

But I still didn’t love it.
The lack of chemistry between the main characters, along with the eye rolling plot, and the over the top abundance of product placements made this very difficult to watch and care about.
I’d give it a 3. And that’s reaching.
