From cozy cottage style dressers to coastal colored rugs that have wave-like patterns, these beautifully textured and detailed picks will create a great base to build your nursery around.
The spindle crib brings a cozy vintage charm to the room and more importantly, the crib converts to a toddler bed so it can be used well into the toddler years.
Wood Spindle Convertible Baby Crib
Using natural material like a rattan pendant lamp adds a warm cozy feel to the room.
Rattan Pendant Light
I love how the pattern of this rug look like little ocean waves. A subtle nod to the ocean theme so that it can still be used down the road when you want to change the theme or transition to a big kids room.
Light Sage Green Handwoven Rug
The bead board trend is everywhere and this is a great way to incorporate it without having to invest in getting bead board walls. I love this dresser for the cottage feel it gives.
For the newborn years, I'd simply buy a diaper change pad so that the dresser can still be used for the future rather than buying a dedicated changing table.
I've picked white to coordinate with the rest of my furniture picks here but it does come in a natural wood color, a sage green color and a few others ones too.
Extra-Wide Beadboard Dresser
While I don't regret my reclining nursing chair, I do wish I had chosen something that I could re-use in a different part of the home as a lounge chair once we outgrew it.
This one I chose because it can definitely do that plus it's a rocking chair which I found so helpful when feeding or helping soothe my baby.
I chose the mint-green color to go with the coastal feel of this room and to coordinate with the other pieces of picked out but this chair also comes in white.
Sage Green Nursing/Rocking Chair
A side table to go beside the the nursing chair is a must! You'll need something to hold glasses of water, a book, your phone, baby bottles, pump, moisturizer, etc.
It doesn't have to be THIS one, but I picked it because it's cute with two surfaces to hold double the stuff :)
Clover Shape Side Table
Decor & Storage
Prints or wall art are an easy and fun way to add color to the nursery and they a great at tying together all the different elements and decor to highlight your theme.
For this ocean theme nursery, I've picked out this beautiful set of ocean animal prints that includes the alphabet, numbers and a positive affirmations for little ones.
Looking for thin frames will help keep the look minimal and modern. A natural oak would perfectly complement the crib but white frames would work too.

Plants add a natural color and texture to a room and has a uplifting, calming effect which help make spaces feel more, well homey.
If you don't have a green thumb then a faux tree will do just fine! Pair this faux tree with a rattan or hyacinth basket to match with the rustic, coastal aesthetic of the rest of the room.
Faux Eucalyptus Tree
A table lamp adds a calming atmosphere in the evening if you want a bit of light but don't want to turn on the room's overhead ones.
Here's a tip: install it with a smart light bulb so that you can control the brightness and color on your phone, you know in case you have a sleeping baby in your arms.
Sage Green Table Lamp
Aren't these the cutest!?? I just love the little wave detail - perfect for an ocean themed nursery.
If you have the space, you could have two or three of these on a wall so you can display all their favorite books with the covers displayed which encourages exploration and curiosity.
I've picked out the natural oak color here but it also comes in white.
Wood Wave Shelf
Storage baskets and bins are a must! You'll want a place to easily hold all the little stuffies and toys.
These are cute, sturdy and come in different shapes and colors.
I also used a small one by the change table to hold diapers and lotions. I also had some to hold onesies and clean clothes because we went through them so quickly and it's much easier than folding them (plus who has time for that?)
Pom Pom Storage Basket
This cute woven basket that's shaped like a whale is both functional and decorative. It's a perfect size to hold all those little stuffies or toys.
Super soft and cozy, this sherpa blanket was made for ocean-obsessed kiddos. It's one of my own designs and features the same watercolor illustrations as my ocean nursery prints for a perfect match. My daughter loves the one she has. It's great for snuggles!
Under the Sea Baby Baby Blanket
Cutest collection of large & plush sea animals! My favorites are the Big Grandma Octopus and the Big Original Whale
Soft & Plush Toy Octopus & Beluga Whales - Big Stuffed
A soft muslin playmat for tummy time and play. Bonus - it's machine washable and packs up for on the go play!
Jack Muslin Travel Play Mat
This baby mobile is just so beautiful with it's soft muted colors and the details, look at the jellyfish! So perfect for an ocean themed nursery.
In The Ocean Crib Mobile — The Great-Grandchild
The softest swaddles, we love how soft and large these swaddles are from Pehr. This one is called Life Aquatic and is perfect for your ocean-theme nursery
Swaddle
Yes I have two playmats on this list because these are just too cute! I love having these around for tummy time or to have a more cushioned surface to sit and play when they are older.
Plus they are so much easier to roll up and store or more around than a larger floor mat.
Shell Playmat | Off white
These decorative round pillows are such a great way to add a classy touch to the room and they come in so many colors.
The pleated velvet fabric is just so pretty, perfect for the nursing chair or as a cute floor cushion in a reading nook for your little one down the road.
