The best places to get a burger in Los Angeles. From fancy, high end burgers to cheap eats. From new-comers to well established LA icons, it's all here.
The original Chili burger. Tommy's is an icon and quite affordable if you can catch a sale. Follow them on socials to find out when's the best time to get chili on a burger or dog.
Original Tommy's
While now it's a larger chain with restaurants up and down the coast, In-n-Out started here in Los Angeles. Be sure to order from the “secret menu”.
In-N-Out Burger
Not just delicious chili burgers and dogs, but a fun experience ordering them in a train car!
CARNEYS
That good ol' 50's burger joint feel with today's prices. Still worth every penny, especially if you catch a celebrity munching on a burger in the booth next to you!
Astro Burger
While primarily a sandwich shop (see my sandwiches in LA list), they also have some pretty hefty burgers.
Fat Sal's
While another larger chain with locations in the southwest, the bulk of locations are in Southern California with two locations in Los Angeles. Pricy, especially for a chain, but solid burgers that get the job done.
Farmer Boys® - Welcome home!
New to the burger scene in LA, but their sliders and tots keep up with the big boys. Don't miss this hidden gem on Sunset Blvd.
Chris N Eddy's
A classic burger restaurant that's been around for a long time. When you taste their food, you'll know why.
Cassell's Hamburgers
One of the best burgers in LA. Don't take my word for it, look at the reviews and Eater's praise as well!
Irv's Burgers | Made Just For You Since 1946
I don't know what happened to Tom's Number 1 through 4, but Number 5 is a winner. There's actually quite a few of them throughout LA and when you find one, you know you've found one of the last best Ma n Pop burger joints around. While they have othe...
Tom's Number 5
While it is a chain, it's a chain that started in Los Angeles.
Fatburger | The Last Great Hamburger Stand™
For being a British Pub, this place has some serious Burgers, and great entertainment on the weekends!
The Fox and Hounds
A classic Hole-in-the-Wall Burger joint. While the space might be small, the burgers are pretty decent sized. Nothing fancy here, just a good blue-collar burger.
Jack's Classic Hamburgers
Another Nationwide chain that started in Southern California. Excellent burgers that win awards for a reason.
