Winter can be challenging for cats, whether they live indoors, outdoors, or in our communities. Some mothers reject their baby kittens (e.g., sickness, pain, weakness, stress, unsafe, inexperienced mother, too large of a litter, kitten smells different, malnourishment, lack of food/resources, environmental disruption).
