I have lived here my whole life and it is my pleasure to introduce you to this region – rich in natural wonders, spas, rivers and mountains – which is unfortunately threatened by mines and wind farms. Eastern Serbia is facing a major crisis and a great battle is being waged to preserve this unique gem.

This list features some of the most beautiful and well-known viewpoints in Eastern Serbia, along with several hidden gems that deserve just as much attention. Sadly, this remarkable region is facing a serious environmental threat. Exploratory drilling for proposed mining projects is taking place across the area, putting its unique landscapes, water sources, and clean air at risk. Environmental organizations, local residents, and many others continue to fight to protect this extraordinary part of Serbia for future generations.

An authentic place in eastern Serbia. Rajačke Pimnice are located on the Belo Brdo hill, about 24-25 km from Negotin, not far from the village of Rajac. This unique settlement of stone wine cellars is located about a 15-20 minute walk from the village itself, near the Timok River and the border with Bulgaria. Visitors to this place are lovers of good wine, good atmosphere and food. This place helps you feel like you are in another time, completely different from today. It helps you feel truly strange and wonderful while observing the beautiful buildings that have been preserving the quality of excellent wine for many years, knowing many secrets and untold stories. Rajačke pivnice is a candidate for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is my guide through this place. Enjoy.

I am pleased to present this list to you, very interesting. Honestly, when I embarked on this adventure I didn't know much about this place. However, the day flew by, from morning to evening we were active and we visited so many interesting places, real natural beauties. In this list, I also recommend the best restaurants in the area.

I am making this list driven by yesterday's experience and an event that I will remember for a long time. Namely, yesterday we climbed Rtanj, a famous mountain in eastern Serbia, where, as every year, a large number of mountaineers from Serbia and the region participated in the big Christmas climb to Rtanj. Everything was wonderful, smiling people, atmosphere, nature, energy, but my big mistake was that I didn't have crampons. It was difficult to climb, and also to descend on the icy path, which was not difficult for me in previous campaigns, this year I really struggled. Poles helped me with the climb and descent, a friend who supported me from behind, but if I had crampons everything would have been perfect. That is why, so that you don't make the same mistake as me, I am suggesting some of the crampons in this list, and I am sure that you will choose excellent ones for you.
