I don’t have the time, money, or desire to get my nails done every two weeks but I still want cute nails. I’ve worn press-on exclusively for the past several years. Here are my favorite brands and tools to make them last.
These are my absolute favorite! My go-to’s! With multiple sizes, shapes and styles! They are sturdy and hold up well over time.
Shop All Press-On Nails - Glamnetic
This is a great brand. Also very sturdy and hold up well over time. I often find older styles at Marshall’s. Lots of cute styles.
All The Dreamiest Press-On Nails | Nail Reformation
My go-to drugstore brand. These are pretty reliable. I don’t like the instant-mani style with sticky tabs. But the nude classics with glue hold up well.
KISS USA - KISS Nails
This is my number one glue! Keeps my nails on for two weeks!
Maximum Speed Nail Glue - KISS
This is my 2nd favorite nail glue. Good and strong. I like the fine tip nozzle.
Beauty Secrets Drip & Clog Proof Nail Glue
I use an e-file to score the backs of my press-ons to help adhesion. I also use the small rounded bits to clean up my cuticle area which is key to getting press-ons to last.
Electric Nail File - Amazon.com
Sometimes the edges of press-ons can be a little rough I like to use a very fine buffer block to smooth and soften the edges. I also use a coarser grit buffer to take the shine off my natural nails before applying my press-one for better adhesion.
Nail Buffer - Amazon.com
This is my tried and true nail prep liquid. After buffing and removing my cuticle I use a lint-free nail wipe and wipe my nail with this isopropyl alcohol.
