Rosé wines from Portugal are absolutely must try wines. Ignore the complete rubbish about Provence and light colored rosé wines being the best quality. This is totally untrue and based off marketing opinions not facts. In Portugal you find rosé wines of every pink hue. They are full of flavor and acidity and way better priced than most of Europe. These wines I have had, I only recommend wines I have tasted myself.

Hands down my favorite Loureiro white wine from Portugal. With citrus and tropical fruit notes bursting through, slight minerality from that lovely Atlantic breeze. This is an elevated Loureiro that you must try!

A gorgeous Alvarinho from the Vinho Verde region in Portugal. It is stunning with seafood, has beautiful salinity and acidity.

I have no doubt Portuguese red wines will become your new favorite. There is absolutely no better value for quality than a Portuguese red wine. These are some of my favorite wines under $25, I have had them all and some many times.
A stunning red wine for under $20 from the Lisboa region in Portugal. Touriga Franca is one of the most planted grapes in Portugal, yet not usually seen as a single varietal wine. This is a must try for any red wine lover.

Here we go again, another option for your summer Porto Tonico is to use a Ruby Port, this one is excellent. You serve over ice with an orange slice and maybe some club soda or tonic. Such a good entry into the world of Port wines!

A lovely Lisboa region red blend from the 2022 Portuguese winemaker of the year. This is a must try from the region and what a great bang for your buck!

Turra Vinhão Red 2021 $25
A stunning Touriga Nacional single varietal from the Alentejo region. Ripe berries, floral and spice with hints of cedar, you can drink now or age for a few years.
Herdade do Rocim Touriga Nacional 2021 $21
A really lovely red blend from Portugal. With flavors of red fruit, black fruit and a little spice and just the right amount of tannins this wine is far better than some at much higher price points.
