Lowes is really one of my favorites. My have the nicest and most helpful staff. Of course they also have a huge selection of items from appliances to nails. They have fantastic sales on the major holidays!
Lowe's Home Improvement
Home Depot is also a favorite due to their wide selection of items. Their employees are awesome, prices are good and they also have fantastic sales around holidays.

This is a very new store. It is much smaller than the normal ‘big-box’ stores but they carry much more specialized items so they are very handy to have around.
Melissa Ace Hardware
There have been a few times that it was very lucky to have them around. They also carry more specialized items and tools.
Tractor Supply Co.
When you need a very unusual battery that Walmart doesn't carry, you will be VERY glad to have Batteries Plus in the area!! They are worth pure gold for odd batteries.

One of the best places to get replacement filters, especially odd dimensions.
