Swimming Hand Paddles
What are hand paddles used for in swimming? They are used for resistance training for your strokes. They help to build up muscle so that when you take them off you are able to pull harder. They are also amazing at fixing stroke techniques. If you are doing something wrong you will feel it slow you down.
Traditional hand paddles
The most traditional hand paddles. Made from plastic, and has straps. Some are still made more comfortably however. Good for resistance.
If you look at the sides of these paddles they are kind of wave-like. This is supposed to help with pulling smoother.
Good hand paddles have a curve, and finger groves to help your fingers not hurt as much, and feel less stiff.
Pink paddles that have multiple straps for more comfort. They even have a strap for just your middle finger. This should help with hand stiffness and finger cramping.
Traditional hand paddles that are wider than they are long. This helps to increase the resistance that these paddles create. Also, have comfortable straps.
A cooler-looking paddle that comes in different sizes. It is a bit more slender so they are perfect to use. They are great for everyone.
These paddles come in bulk, you get a total of 6 pairs. They have comfortable groves for your fingers, and 3 different straps for even more comfort.
Comfortable whole hand strap design. One strap for your entire hand, and a curved design that is best described like you are holding a mouse.
Good hand paddles that have a grip texture on the hand side that helps you keep the paddle from sliding around. The underside is smooth to still give you the most hand paddle efficiency.

When it comes to hand paddles this is one of the first ones that comes to mind. We have a pair of these where I work, and these are my go-to when I am teaching.
Exotic hand paddles
This is where the wacky stuff is. Paddles aremade from silicone, fabric, and latex. Some are very loosely called paddles. Id give each of these a look even if you don't want anything, they are just so interesting.
I love these latex gloves so much. They are a great alternative to regular paddles. They are flexible, so I can still move my hands. Just be sure to use the size chart.
Literally webed gloves. They offer more range of motion for your hands and are easier to wear. They also feel more comfortable than hard plastic.
These gloves and I go way back. I actually asked for webbed gloves one year and These were what I got. They worked great. I was a kid and I loved swimming in our Fammily pool with these. I thought they made me really fast.
I mainly put these because they are cheap. Swim equipment can become pricey, however these are much cheaper, while still getting the job done.
These only go around your fingers and act more like webbing. It is not as much resistance as paddles but that is better than using paddles every day to avoid injury. Also if you are getting tired id recommend switching to these.
These hand paddles are another one of those rare findings. They have no straps, instead, you just put your finger in the paddle, and boom done. Easy for readjusting, and putting on and off
These are definitely the most interesting of them all. These focus on turning your hand and forearm into the paddle. It works by keeping your hand in line with your arm and keeps you from pulling your wrist back.
Hand paddles don't really have room for prints or designs. However, they did it somehow. These still work great but you can still show your silly nature.
