This month, I’ve been leaning into comfort and creativity. The stress has been kicking and these items have brought me some joy while I try to re-energize, revolutionize, and sprinkle in some self care.
Black-owned, texas-based coffee roaster with incredible southern flavors (shout out Candied Yams). Fell in love off a sample and it's been in rotation ever since.
Ezra Coffee Company
A revolutionary classic that feels just as urgent today. Reading in honor of her passing and reflecting on the times we’re in. Heavy, powerful, and necessary.
Assata: An Autobiography
Best spot to hang, sip, and work for me. Quiet and cozy place, the owner and baristas are always friendly. The seasonal drinks are unique and never miss.
Tre Stelle Coffee Co.
Found at a local farmers market and fell in love. Great scents, super clean, soy wax. Makes the house feel like a hug.
The Luxe Candles
Smaller market but I have never left empty handed. Always an interesting find here and love the food options. I've brought family and friends (who also didn't leave empty handed)
Flower Mound Farmers Market
Self-Explanatory :). Self Care for me.
Podcast — Therapy for Black Girls
Nothing but laughs. Played with family and it was nothing short of a great time.
Lyrically Correct Games
Nothing short of vibes. Have been playing non-stop to get me through these days.
