Zit Zappers

Purple Star emoji 8 items
I started developing acne in my early-mid 20s, experiencing one zit here and there.  By 2020, the stress of the pandemic had my entire face enveloped in acne.  Now at 30, I feel like I'm starting to get this under control.  Here are some of my tried and true that will hopefully bring relief to you too.

Cleansers

The sulfur helps clear acne, however it doesn't dry out the skin.  I like applying it and letting it sit for a minute or so, acting as an acne fighting mask.  This contains a good amount of product and the packaging is cute and innovative.  It smells of roses and slightly of sulfur.  Don't let the scent put you off as this does what it claims.

A very gentle cleanser.  Helps fight breakouts without irritating your skin.  Minimizes the size and life cycle of breakouts.  Works best when paired with the Adapinoid gel.

A classic.  Cream cleansers always soften skin incredibly without being too irritating.  The tingle of the eucalyptus feels so refreshing, but it doesn't feel just surface level.  My skin feels clean and hydrated.  Rinses off easily.  You can get an even deeper clean by allowing it to sit a few minutes, then removing with a damp, hot towel.

One of the best cleansing balms I've ever used.  Very gentle and extremely effective.  Removes all traces of makeup and grime from your skin on the first cleanse.  Rinses insanely easily and leaves skin feeling hydrated and soft.

Wow!  If you want to splurge on just one item for your acne, it's this.  4 times a week for 10 minutes and you can clear your breakouts quicker.  Add in a basic, affordable acne routine and you can dramatically reduce your breakouts and practically clear your skin.  In fact, I've been cutting back on the products I use just because I've started using this mask.  A good acne cleanser, retinol, dark spot treatment, sunscreen, and the Omnilux Clear are all I need.  The blue light kills blemish causing bacteria.  The mask is rechargeable and plugs into a handheld remote so you don't have to be plastered next to an outlet to use it.  In fact, I'm typing this up while wearing mine and lounging in bed.

It's crazy how just switching from using my hands for washing my face to using a tool helps to reduce my breakouts.  It really makes for a deeper clean.  Add the blue light on the other side of this wand and it doubles the effects.  The silicone bristles make for a gentle clean and the blue light kills bacteria that causes acne.  The touch sensor provides a 3-minute spot treatment that vibrates when done.  A charging cable and carrying case are provided.

A lightweight acne fighting gel that instantly hydrates and spreads easily.  A very gentle retinoid. *I actually didn't realize this and would use it in the A.M. as well, but even then I had no irritation. *  Reduces the size and lifespan of breakouts, especially when used with the matching cleanser.
