Our favorite safe skincare finds for my tween daughter! We try to stick to gentle and cleaner items to maintain the integrity of her skin, while still allowing her to try new things!
Cleansers and Exfoliators
Gentle and Tween Skincare friendly cleansers
This gel cleanser from Bubble Skincare is mild and gentle enough for tweens, but also gets the job done for more mature skin like my own as well. A perfect starter cleanser for those looking to try out new skincare!
An excellent cleanser for tweens dabbling in wearing makeup. It is gentle enough for daily use, but also works great to remove basic makeup.
We LOVE the tree Hut body scrubs!! If you like a scrub style exfoliator, these are gentle and yet do an amazing job. There are so many scents to try, but we really love the watermelon and the rainbow sherbet the best!
This is a brand new bubble product and we are obsessed with it! It is really gentle and is great at removing makeup. Highly suggest!
Moisturizers
Gentle Tween Friendly Moisturizers
This is a very light weight moisturizer, that is perfect for any skincare newbies. It is a great item to add to your tweens daily skincare routine!
Most CeraVe products work great for skin of any age, and are widely recommended. We love the body lotion for after shower and shaving use. The Foaming Cleanser is excellent for daily use as well!
Smells amazing, And glides on like a dream. It is slightly more expensive however the quality is excellent and it lasts a long time. One-two pumps are enough to cover the entire face. It is very light and breathable for tween skin.
Tween Acne Help
Items that were recommended to help with my daughters occasional acne breakouts
Fun and trendy pimple patches for your tweens, cover blemishes while allowing them to heal. They work really well, and my daughter is not embarrassed to wear them.
Gentle acne spot treatment for tweens. It usually works with a day or so but you can notice it's effects after the first use. Perfect for those random blemishes!
This toner is a little bit stronger so I wouldn't recommend daily use, however it is very light and easy to use. The pump doesn't allow you to take more than necessary and it smells just like watermelon!
Lip Care
Lip Care for Tweens
EOS lip balms are always in my purse! I love the vanilla and the mint flavors. They are excellent for on the go, especially in the closer months when everyone tends to get chapped and dry.
During the day if we are home, this is our chapped lip go to! Nothing fancy, but definitely gets the job done! Only need just a little bit to keep in the moisture.
This lip mask is great to put on before bed. each full size container comes with a small applicator and case for the applicator. They have multiple scents/flavors and we have tried all of them. Our favorites the watermelon and gummy bear!
Deoderant
Bodies are growing and changing- and underarms are part of skin care too. Here are a few ways to help if your tween isn't so comfortable with those smells.
Lume Deoderant is the absolute BEST! we used it once when we were in Disney World to prevent sweating/chaffing and have continued to use it ever since! Our favorite is the unscented, but all of them are great!
Native Deoderant is aluminum free and mildly scented. An easy traditional style deodorant stick. It comes in full sizes and sometimes minis as well!
SPF
Daily sun protection is no joke, so make sure the last thing your tween is doing before going outdoors is putting on SPF!
Sun Bum products not only smell great (and remind me of summer at the beach) but we use them whenever we go to the pool or beach! We love the face stick, because it doesn't cause any breakouts and does a great job or protecting our skin!
Always finish out your tweens skincare routine with a daily SPF! It's important to start these habits early so they reduce the chances of sun damage later on.
Hair Removal
If your tween is just learning about hair removal, or is a pro- here are some items that we find helpful!
We love to use this shave oil!! Keeps legs so soft and silky. The vanilla smells rich and warm. You don't need a lot, so it lasts for a while.
This is a great alternative to shaving and waxing! Easy to use, it just needs to warm up and become pliable and then you're good to go! Definitely recommend practicing with a parent until comfortable to use on their own
Harrys is a great and reliable brand of razor. The cartridges to refill are very affordable, and they do an excellent job! Always try with a parent first before allowing your tween to do on their own!
