If you want to shoot portraits, then this would be a deadly combo paired with the a7c ii. Putting that aside, I still think this is the best BUDGET, COMPACT, HIGH FOCAL LENGTH lens that you can get on the market right now.
YONGNU 85mm F1.8
This is a great lens, especially considering the price. I would always advise beginners and intermediates to use prime lenses more than they use zooms.
