These are some of my favorite haircare and beauty products I use and recommend for women over 40!
This is my go-to color protecting shampoo!
Biolage Color Last Shampoo for Color-Treated Hair
This is my go-to color protecting conditioner. It works really good with their color-protecting shampoo!
Biolage Color Last Conditioner for Color-Treated Hair
This is another great shampoo, especially if you have fine and color treated hair.
Redken Volume Injection Shampoo
This conditioner works great with their volume injection shampoo. It also protects color treated hair.
Redken Volume Injection Conditioner
This is my favorite deep conditioning hair mask! It does have a strong scent, so if you don't like perfumy hair care, you won't like that. It doesn't bother me. It works really well!
This is another hair mask I really like and it doesn't have a strong scent, which is super nice if you're sensitive to perfume-scented products.
L'Oreal EverPure Simply Clean Fiber Masque
I always use a heat protectant / leave-in conditioner on my hair before I use ANY heated tool. It's a must if you're over 40 because your hair is more fragile.
Matri Mega Sleek Iron Smoother Defrizzing Leave-In Conditioner Spray
I have long, fine, color treated hair so I always use a leave-in conditioner with a heat protectant on my hair after I towel dry it. It just adds extra moisture with out weighing it down. And, it protects it.
Matrix Miracle Creator Leave-In Spray
I like to use a hair oil, only on my ends, after I style my hair to give them a little extra shine, and moisture.
Olapex Bonding Hair Oil
This is another really nice hair oil at a lower price point.
OGX Renewing Argan Oil
I like to use this if I air dry my hair and just want to wave it up a bit with my hands. It really helps to hold a natural wave.
Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Defining & Frizz Taming Hair Cream
This gives my hair really nice volume and a little texture. I have fine, long hair and use it on damp hair.
Not Your Mother's Plump For Joy Volumizing Mousse
I've used both of the NYM's dry shampoos, and the Clean Freak is my favorite. I find is works a little better in my hair, but honestly they're both great!
Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo
This one definitely plumps up my hair. It's great if my hair is on day 3 and I want to put it up. It'll remove that oily look and give it lift.
Not Your Mother's Plump for Joy Body Building Dry Shampoo
This has been my go-to hairspray for over a year. It does a nice job of holding but not making my hair crunchy. It has a nice even spray. A little goes a long way!
Not Your Mother's She's A Tease Volumizing Hairspray
This is my go-to styling tool! I can straighten and slick my hair with it, or add curl. It works great on long, fine hair. And, it hasn't damaged my hair because it doesn't get too hot!
Conair 2-in-1 Hot Air Curling Combo,
I got this blow dry about a year ago and it's by far the best one I've ever used! It dries my hair, but leaves it feeling soft and hydrated. I also have less static in my hair after using this. It's really nice and worth the money!
BioIonic SMART-X Dryer And Diffuser Set y
Being over 40 I definitely don't want to damage my hair so I brush it with a paddle brush. It's very gentle and make my hair looks smooth and shiny.
Revlon Straight & Smooth Paddle Brush Set
This is the type of wet brush I use on my hair after washing it. I have far less breakage when I use this brush!
