We have a toddler and an 8 yo. We like to go here to let them play. Our youngest loves the atmosphere and hanging with big bro. We have been to birthday parties here as well!

We love this place! We had my dads 50th birthday party here. It was a great way to celebrate while still allowing room for people to “group up.”
Drive Shack
The train is always a hit with my little crew! Hubby and I love the paddle boats. The scenery is beautiful and there are various places to sit and watch.
Pullen Park
This is a great way to spend an afternoon with the kids. They have various activities to keep them busy and get that excess energy out.
Galaxy Fun Park
I first discovered this place on a night out with the girls. It’s my favorite place. There is a karaoke room, bowling, food, drinks, board games, and the aesthetics are gorgeous.
Jaguar Bolera
We love this park. Certain times of the year the sunflower fields bloom. The park is huge with various equipment choices. They also have a sensory garden.
Dix Park
Museums
I love museums. This one has Nature Exploration Center and Nature Research Center, with four floors of exhibits, live animals, gift shops and cafés.
North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences
This is an amazing place for children. They also feature sensory days for those with sensitivities.
Marbles Kids Museum
This is my favorite place! The museum is free except for special exhibits. There is outdoor pieces as well. The art park area features a pond and walking trails that lead to various places in the city. We spend lots of Saturday’s here.
