Sometimes you just don't want to be at home. Living in Toronto you have close to a million options for cafes to work/study from. Here are some of my favourites.
Dark house has some of the best espresso in town, they have multiple locations, and their seasonal drinks are absolutely amazing.
Dark Horse Espresso Bar
I love the staff at the Trinity Bellwoods location! This is an Australian coffee house serving up some of the best pastries in town and serving up vegemit! I believe they have 3 or 4 locations across Toronto so plenty of seats!
Found Coffee
So many locations; even one in Union Station by the UpExpress terminal. They sell bags of all their different roasts for at home use for a reasonable price also.
Balzacs Coffee Roasters
I regularly find myself at the Well location. They have plenty of seating there and I surprisingly don't hate their matcha!
Quantum Coffee
Dineen has many locations across town; most recently opening a location on King St. I personally love their sandwich collection.

Bready has some of the most amazing pasties I have ever seen and tasted. The cubes croissants are surreal and they have some killer paninis.
Bready Cafe
This is a Toronto favourite and I can understand why. They are so creative with their drink menu and have some really awesome breakfast sandwiches.
Forget Me Not
This is a new cafe at King and Spadina. They have been busy and poppin' since opening. Super awesome pasties and the espresso is not bad; lots of seating and cute interior.
