We love camping here, or renting a cabin on the river. It is Yerington's hidden secret! Also, floating the river is amazing. And if you are a Veteran, amd have your State Parks Discount card, you can camp for $10 a night with full hook-ups.
Walker River
My favorite beach in Lake Tahoe, I've been going there since 1992. Water is cold, but it is beautiful! The air is thinner up there, so wear sunblock! Pack a lunch and spend the day! Also, kids love hunting the crayfish on the rocks!
