π²π¦ All about Tangier...β¬οΈ We arrived in Tangier 2 days ago and treated ourselves to a lovely campsite to relax. The first few days in a new country, we often feel really unsettled whilst getting used to a new culture and we have found that we like a bit of stability during that time. That coupled with a slightly stressful border crossing and we felt a bit dr... We had to get some life admin sorted; I bought a new SIM and we needed to do a food shop. So of we went into Tangier. Most people skip this city and head straight for the coast. We loved it! We experienced our first mint tea, haggled in the Grand Socco, wandered through the old Medina and went to the iconic Gran Cafe De Paris. Things we've learnt so far: βοΈ Cash is king - cards are not widely accepted, they occasionally take euros but prefer MAD. The only ATM we found that doesn't charge is the Al Barid bank. Always use an ATM attached to a bank (when it's open) in case it eats your card! βοΈ Most people speak a little bit of french and english. They are suuuper friendly βοΈ If you need a new SIM...inwi are currently running a promotion for unlimmited data for 3 months for Β£17/month βοΈ When they say there are stray cats and dogs everywhere...they're not joking. We had 12 cats outside our camper when Phil was cooking a delicious moroccan curry. Wonderful first impressions and can't wait to explore this country some more π₯°

Asilah is a beautiful, artistoc and quirky town and is usually one of the first stops on a Moroccan roadtrip. We loved wandering the white streets, looking at the artwork and walking on the ramparts.

We decided that, after 4 hectic days in Marrakech, we'd explore the waterpark. We went in October and virtually had the place to ourselves! It was the perfect place to relax and de-stress after the hustle and bustle of the souks.
