After our apartment fire, Benjamin and I had to replace almost everything we owned when we moved into our new home. Some of these are replacements for items we loved before. Others are things we discovered because starting over gave us the chance to make better choices. Together, they're the products we've been happiest living with in our new home.

I've always been fascinated by books that change the way we think rather than simply teach a skill. These are the titles that have had the biggest influence on how I approach work, relationships, habits, and everyday life. They're books I've returned to, recommended to friends, and genuinely believe are worth reading.

After living in Brooklyn for years, these are the restaurants Benjamin and I keep coming back to—and the ones we take friends to when they visit. They're not necessarily the trendiest or hardest to get into. They're simply places we've enjoyed enough to return to again and again
