I have a large leather machine, but this one is my favorite for smaller projects like spur straps, belts, and smaller tack pieces. It will sew up to about 10 ounces of leather and is super Easy to use. It would also be fine for purses.

This is the larger machine that I use. This one will sew through anything that you need for horse tack, belts, bridles, etc. I don’t like it as well on the thinner leather.

This is what I like to use as a resist. This one goes over the paint and before the antique. I like this one because oil can penetrate it for horse tack.

This is the resist that I use if I really don’t want the antique to go through and darken the leather. It is a waterproof coat so this one will Not let oil penetrate the leather.
