As someone who has struggled with acne for a majority of my life, I have tried many different skincare products over the years. Through a lot of skincare trial and error, here is a list of my favourite products that actually worked on my acne-prone s...
As an acne prone girly I'm always trying to find products that reduce redness and scarring. I came across this on the Sephora website after hearing that Azeliac acid helps with both of these things. I gravitated towards the Inkey list because I've tr...
The INKEY List Azelaic Acid 10% for Redness Relief
This stuff is all in one. I use it on my face, in my scalp, and under my armpits. Also the price is incredible, a whole bottle seems to last forever
Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner | The Ordinary
My absolute favourite cream of all time. Its not heavy or greasy and works wonders for my acne prone skin. It also dries down super fast which I love!
Deep Hydration Moisturizing Cream - CeraVe
This cleanser is a must-have for acne prone skin. Unlike most acne cleansers, this one is non drying while still providing oil control, which is why it works amazing for me!
Effaclar Gel Facial Wash for Oily Skin - La Roche-Posay
Hands down my favourite acne product on this list. This cream is my current go-to and I use it daily. It has salicylic acid and niacinamide which help mitigate acne while reducing redness/scarring.
Effaclar Duo Plus | Acne Spot Treatment - La Roche-Posay
I am on my third bottle of this stuff because of how well it fades my post inflammatory erythema (red acne marks). It kinda has a weird smell but it's totally worth it!
Faded Serum - For Dark Spots & Discoloration - Topicals
This worked wonders for the blackheads around my lips and nose. I swear by this cleanser to help quickly clear breakouts :)
Renewing SA (Salicylic Acid) Cleanser | Face Wash - CeraVe
My favourite spot treatment. Helps reduce redness on active acne and can even be used as a colour corrector under makeup.
2% Succinic Acid Treatment | Blemish Control Gel | The INKEY List
My favourite pimple patches. Just like the name suggests, they are almost invisible on the skin. Great for wearing during the day
Daytime Hydrocolloid Acne Pimple Patches
These are great patches to wear at night time. Not as invisible as the mighty patches I suggested in this list, but they do an incredible job at sucking out pimple juice.
Acne Pimple Master Patch - COSRX Official
Another amazing cleanser, especially if you suffer from cystic acne. I have really bad cystic acne around my chin and this helps dry the pimples out
Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% | PanOxyl
This is great during the day if you find your face is sweating a lot. It helps kill the sweat bacteria to prevent breakouts
SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid
My favourite salicylic acid serum! When I have really tough blackheads, I break this one out. It's also very affordable
my iN.gredients Salicylic Acid Solution - masque BAR
This is my go-to sunscreen. It doesn't feel thick on my skin and the tint helps hide acne redness on my face
Tinted Mineral Face Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 - Eucerin Sun
I'm on my second bottle of this mask. Sometimes acne treatments can be drying, but this mask helped me maintain my moisture barrier so my skin could heal properly.
Skin Hydrating Cream - Like Butter Moisturizer - Topicals
