I just visited the City a couple of months ago and I fell in love with it. Of course, I did not get to visit everything but I'll tell you the places I will not forget.
I know is just a train station but its honestly one of the prettiest and richest places I've seen as an architecture student. So, even if its for a little you should definitely go visit it yourself!!!
Grand Central Terminal - Make Everyday Grand
Honestly, I regret so much not being able to make it to it. It's just gorgeous. I got to see it from afar while I was at the Summit and it was just unbelievable and immense. Don't make my same mistake and save some time for it.

I know it might not be for everyone, very touristic but I still loved the experience, you have 3 different floors and can see the whole city from all points of view. Will say it's full of people but even in the worsts time it still feels magical.
