BRAND SPANKIN NEW season is AIRING NOW on FX/HULU - see WHERE TO WATCH

Okay, I haven’t watched this one yet because it JUST came out, but I am excited! Season 13 is bringing the AHS universe together, with characters and storylines from previous seasons returning for one huge crossover. And when I say returning characte...

American Horror Story: AHS 13 - Season Thirteen

BEST

The three AHS seasons I’d recommend first. Ranked #1 – #3, these are the seasons where the story, characters, scares, and overall AHS chaos came together best.

#1 BEST SEASON — I do not care what anyone says. As the very first season, it set the tone for both the AHS franchise and the kind of horror TV that followed. If you’ve never watched *American Horror Story*, I would start here. It’s definitely graphi...PRIMETIME EMMY® 1X winner in 2024

American Horror Story: Murder House - Season One

#2 EVERYTHING about this is a YES! After centuries of witches living in secrecy, new attacks threaten their survival and force a group of “gifted” young women to attend a special school where they can learn to protect themselves. I really enjoyed thi...

American Horror Story: Coven - Season Three

#3 This season was INCREDIBLE. The storyline, the setting, the Lady Gaga feature, all of it was amazing! Hotel takes us inside the glamorous Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles, a beautiful hotel with a very bloody history. A detective investigating a series...

American Horror Story: Hotel - Season Five

MID

Not bad. Not iconic. These seasons still have plenty worth watching, but something kept them from cracking the Top 3.

I really enjoyed this season! It felt like a creepy homage to the earlier AHS seasons, especially *Murder House*, while still creating its own story. Underneath it all lies a battlefield for the final conflict between good and evil, and the season ge...

American Horror Story: Apocalypse - Season Eight

This was a great season! 1984 gives major I Know What You Did Last Summer vibes with all the classic slasher-horror energy you’d expect from a creepy summer camp in the middle of nowhere. Five friends leave Los Angeles to work as counselors at Camp R...

American Horror Story: 1984 - Season Nine

Set in 1964, were taken inside Briarcliff Manor, a Church-run institution for the criminally insane ruled with an iron fist by Sister Jude (Jessica Lange), a nun with a troubled past. This is a great season and definitely a fan favorite, but it’s jus...

American Horror Story: Asylum - Season Two

I thought this one was a little slow to start, but overall, it was worth the watch. I know Roanoke has a lot of mixed reviews, but I actually really enjoyed the season once it got going. Just know going in that the beginning takes some patience. The ...

American Horror Story: Roanoke - Season Six

Okay, this one was hard to rank. I LOVED the characters in Freak Show, but I didn’t love the storyline as much as I did in some of the other seasons. It just never fully connected for me. Set during the dying days of the American carnival experience,...

American Horror Story: Freak Show - Season Four

The horror revolves around pregnancy, bodily autonomy, paranoia, fame, and the question of whether Anna can trust the people around her. A rising actress finally becomes pregnant after struggling with IVF, only to become convinced that something sini...

American Horror Story: Delicate - Season Twelve

WORST

Something has to come last. These are my lowest-ranked AHS seasons, from the ones that almost made the middle to the season sitting at the very bottom.

The unusual thing about Season 10 is that it’s basically two mini-seasons in one, with 10 episodes total. Part 1: Red Tide, Episodes 1–6 A struggling writer, his pregnant wife, and their daughter move to Provincetown, Massachusetts, for the winter. T...

American Horror Story: Double Feature - Season Ten

I’ll admit this one might not be completely fair because I didn’t finish it. I tried to get into *Cult*, but it just didn’t click for me. The season trades a lot of the supernatural horror AHS is known for a story centered around fear, manipulation, ...

American Horror Story: Cult - Season Seven

NYC is quite different from Murder House, Coven, or Hotel. It takes place in New York City in 1981, primarily within the city’s gay community, as a series of mysterious deaths and disappearances leads to an investigation. At the same time, a strange ...
