This is my simple at-home facial routine using products I already own and actually use. I do this when my skin feels dull, congested, or just needs a reset. Nothing professional, just a realistic self-care routine that works for me.

Step 1: Cleanse + prep the skin
To remove makeup and oil while gently prepping my skin so everything that comes after works better. I keep this step simple and non-stripping, especially before steaming and dermaplaning.
I use this as my first cleanse to remove makeup and prep my skin before steaming. Super gentle and doesn’t strip my skin, which is important before dermaplaning.
Good Molecules Instant Cleansing Balm with Shea Butter
Gentle cleansing balm that melts away makeup and sunscreen without stripping my skin. I use this as an affordable alternative for a first cleanse.
e.l.f. SKIN Holy Hydration Cleansing Balm
Keeps my hair out of my face and prevents water from dripping down my arms while cleansing. A small detail, but it makes the whole routine feel less messy and more relaxing.
9 Pcs Spa Headband & Wristband Set for Face
Step 2: Steam to open pores
I steam my face after cleansing to help loosen buildup and prep my skin before treatments like dermaplaning or masks.
I steam my face for a few minutes after cleansing to help soften my skin and prep it before dermaplaning or masks. Makes me feel like I have the spa at home.
Pure Daily Care NanoSteamer 3-in-1 Facial Steamer & Humidifier with Skin Kit
If you don’t have a facial steamer, this is a great alternative. I soak a towel in warm water, wring it out, and gently press it onto my face for a few minutes to help soften skin and open pores.
SINLAND Microfiber Facial Cloths 12x12 Grey 6pc
Optional extraction tools. These come with the steamer I use, but this step isn’t necessary and can be skipped if you don’t have them or prefer not to extract.
JPNK Blackhead Remover Comedone Extractor Kit
Step 3: Dermaplane (remove peach fuzz)
Optional step, but I like doing this after steaming to smooth my skin.
I use these to gently remove peach fuzz and dead skin after steaming. It helps smooth my skin and makes makeup apply more evenly and look more flawless.
Kitsch Dermaplane Razor for Women Face, 12 pcs
I use this with facial razors because it gives enough slip without feeling heavy. It helps prevent irritation while dermaplaning.
The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Beta Glucan Gel 3.4oz
Step 4: Deep cleansing mask
Clarifying mask to help remove excess oil and refresh the skin before hydrating steps.
Helps pull out impurities and clear my pores after dermaplaning. I use this to deep clean without overdoing it.
The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque 1.7oz
Makes applying masks easier and more hygienic. I like using these instead of my fingers for an even layer.
Silicone Face Scrubber Set: Lip, Cleansing & Mask Brushes
Step 5: Hydrating mask
To add moisture back into my skin and calm everything down.
I use this to rehydrate my skin after clarifying. It feels soothing, helps calm my skin, and gives a soft, hydrated glow.
Bliss Mighty Marshmallow + Vitamin C Whipped Mask
I use this when my skin needs extra hydration. It helps calm redness and leaves my skin feeling plump and deeply moisturized.
BIODANCE Hydro Cera-nol Deep Mask 1.19oz x4
Step 6: Hydrate + seal
Final step to hydrate, calm the skin, and seal everything in.
I use these to hydrate, balance, and calm my skin after masking. Hyaluronic acid adds moisture, niacinamide helps even everything out, and caffeine wakes up tired under-eyes.
The Ordinary Serum Set: Hyaluronic, Niacinamide, Caffeine
I always add this at the end so my lips don’t get ignored. Super hydrating and perfect while everything else is soaking in.

Sun Protection (Daily & Post-Facial)
Daily sun protection is always important, but it’s especially essential after a facial when skin can be more sensitive. I always finish with sunscreen to protect and maintain results.
Lightweight daily sunscreen that layers well over skincare and doesn’t feel greasy. My go-to for everyday protection.
The Ordinary UV Filters SPF 45 Face Sunscreen
Moisturizing sunscreen option that doubles as a face cream. Great for daily wear when my skin feels dry.
