There is no sense in struggling to birth the starter yourself. Work smarter not harder and just cheat a little.
This is the exact jar I bought for feeding. At first I wanted to really be able to keep track of how much it was doubling. I would order the larger size cause I did have some over flow at some points.

I have bought a couple different variations of the Dutch ovens I like to collect them. I also just love a Dutch oven cause you can use them for anything. You will be able to keep them forever if you take care of it.
Silicone pot holders are the best because they are heat resistant up to 500 degrees.

You always want to make sure you are putting parchment paper in the Dutch over or bread pan before baking for easy bread removal after baking. This will prevent sticking, messiness, and burining yourself as your baking with very high temperatures.

You will need tinfoil if you use the bread pans to prevent the top of the bread from browning to fast. The bread pans have no lid so you have to either cover with another bread pan or tinfoil.
