I've visited NYC every year since 2021 and have learned a lot about the city. Most of these are budget-friendly.

Sights
Some touristy, some not so much.
Honestly my favorite part of the entire city. I could (and did) spend hours walking around, watching the live music, exploring the trails, taking a nap, riding a bike, etc. There's so much to love about Central Park.
Central Park
This is a great spot to catch a view of the Brooklyn Bridge + Statue of Liberty. During the off-season, it can be very quiet and have lots of open seating to enjoy some coffee or food.
Pier 17
Eats
Super cute theme and delicious sushi. I also highly recommend the Lychee Martini. There's very limited seating and high wait times during peak hours/ seasons, but you might get lucky and sat right away like I did!
Catzuneko Shokudo
A fantastic spot for a group! Order a bunch of small plates to share :)
Rosemary's West Village
Coffee Shops
Prime location to grab a drink while exploring the city.
Variety Coffee
BAGELS
This location is always busy, for good reason. They have so many fresh and delicious bagels waiting for you!
NYC Bagel & Coffee House (NYCBCH)
Shopping
Amazing selection of books! Classics, brand new releases, signed copies, special editions, you name it. There's also so many cute pieces of NYC merch; mugs, stickers, bags, pins, postcards, etc.
Strand Bookstore
Super cool bookstore for theatre nerds. I specifically loved the artwork over musical music sheets.
The Drama Book Shop
Adorable items to purchase for your dog, even a small selction for cats.
DOG & CO.
They are usually well stocked on all your fav items! It's also a great spot to sit down and relax for a moment in the back during a day exploring :)
