I recently took a trip to Lisbon and had the time of my life. With it being one of the most cost effective (and beautiful) places to travel to, we had so much fun exploring! Here are my food, day trip, and sites highlights.

The food in Portugal was incredible. I hope you love seafood!
Our FAVORITE natural wine bar and tapas spot with the most fun vibe. The owner is French, so the menu and wine list was a lovely French/Portuguese fusion. Add this to the top of your food list, we went here three times!
VDB Bistronomie
Grabbed drinks and oysters while waiting for dinner, and I couldn't stop looking at the beautiful restaurant design!
Leonetta
Cozy Italian restaurant in Lisbon that we loved!
Rosamar
This restaurant is in a lively neighborhood near Pink Street. Order their stuffed mushrooms and walk around after dinner!
Taberna Tosca
This was another French-owned spot that we loved. Check out their risotto specials, incredible.
O CORVO
You MUST try pastel de nata while in Portugal! We loved this spot.
Natas n' Friends (@natasnfriends)
More of a bar than restaurant, tuck into this historic bar for a drink and some people watching. It used to be an old tobacco shop!
A Tabacaria
This was our favorite Lisbon dive!
SHORTYS BAR
Our favorite dinner in Porto! The staff was incredible, and we shut the restaurant down at night.
O Solar do Pátio
We had the most incredible brunch here while visiting Porto. Fueled us until dinner!!! There's a line so prepare to wait, but if you can eat outside.
Floresta cafe by Hungry biker
Stopped here during our weekend trip to Porto. Get the Porto spritz, and sit on the roof overlooking the city at sunset!
FERRO BAR
Day Trips
Lisbon is close to a few cities and sites of interest, so we booked the train to a few spots close by!
The most beautiful palace, and one of the oldest in the area! This had the longest line, but a must see in my opinion. All of the tile is so incredible!
National Palace of Pena
We were literally scaling this mountain to explore this fort!
Castelo dos Mouros
If you like Indiana Jones and secret passages to explore...this is for you!
Quinta da Regaleira
We were based in Lisbon, so took a weekend trip to Porto. Highly recommend, and very easy to get there!
Porto, Portugal
Sites
We had so many sites bookmarked, and here are a handful of the MUST see's!
Highly recommend starting your trip here. There's so much tile around the city, you'll be able to know a bit more about the colors and designs as you go through the rest of your trip! This museum was incredible and celebrated the country's history an...
National Tile Museum
This castle is nestled in the heart of Lisbon (and has a few peacocks)! We don't go in, but the surrounding area is really cool. Next time we'll explore more!
Castelo de São Jorge
Hard to miss this massive town square!
Praça do Comércio
I'd equate this to St. Marks Place in NYC. Very lively, incredible people watching and just an overall fun vibe to be around. We ate dinner a few blocks away, but the São Paulo neighborhood overall is so fun to be in.
Calle Rosa de Lisboa
This is where I purchased my tile souvenirs! The tile here are all authentic, retired designs from factories in Northern Portugal.
Cortiço e Netos
This viewpoint is nestled in our favorite town square. Hard to miss, and a great photo op!
Portas do Sol Viewpoint
This cathedral had my favorite tile displays...so much blue! Check out the roof, where there's even more tile and a beautiful view. We had this place to ourselves, and by the time we were leaving there was a line out the door!
