My favorite spot to slow down when the weather’s gloomy. It’s a local art hub with working studios, classes, and cozy gallery vibes. Just walking around here is calming—and inspiring if you’re a creative like me.

Small but super charming. I learned so much about this area’s wild history—it’s such a hidden gem and great if you’re in a curious mood.

New Smyrna Museum of History

Nothing beats a cozy movie day when it’s pouring. I usually grab popcorn and sneak in my favorite candy (shhh). The matinees are chill and cheap too.

The ultimate day in New Smyrna Beach—catch the sunrise, hit the beach, explore the best local spots, and end with an epic sunset. Here’s my perfect day from start to finish.

Start your day by catching the sunrise at Flagler Ave—less crowded in the morning and so peaceful. Perfect spot to just breathe in the ocean air and take it all in before the day starts.

Beach driving and parking

For that early morning coffee (and maybe breakfast too), The Beacon’s local vibe and delicious pastries make it a must. I always grab an iced coffee or their avocado toast to fuel my beach walk.

A super cute local spot to grab a pastry or fresh breakfast. Their cinnamon rolls are amazing, and it’s perfect if you want a laid-back vibe before heading to the beach.

After the beach, head to Canal Street for cute boutique shopping and some local art. You’ll find everything from jewelry to handmade crafts to unique souvenirs. It’s the perfect stroll to spend your afternoon.

Canal Street Historic District

If you’re up for a peaceful walk, try Mary's Walk along the water for gorgeous views of the Intracoastal. You might spot some dolphins or just enjoy a quiet moment.

For dinner, The Breakers is my go-to! It’s a local classic, with amazing seafood, and you can sit outside for a view of the ocean while you eat. It’s perfect for winding down after a busy day.
