We all have days (or weeks) where everything feels off. Here’s what I do when I need to reset mentally and emotionally. These are simple things that have actually worked for me.

To do
It sounds basic, but it resets my nervous system like magic. I let the hot water relax me and then finish with a quick cold rinse to feel re-energized.
Take a Hot Shower + Cold Rinse
I do a brain dump, no structure, no judgment. I just write whatever I’m thinking or doodle until my head feels lighter.
Journal the Chaos Out
I don’t always have the energy for a full workout, so sometimes I just do some slow stretches or dance around in my room. Excercising and working out does help boost your mood too.
Move Your Body (Even Just Stretching)
I step out for a walk and it always boost my mood, which goes with moving your body duhhh. Even just sitting on the porch can help. Fresh air and light really change my mood faster than I expect.
Get Sunlight or Go Outside for 10 Minutes
I’ll clean my space while playing music and pretending I’m in an edit, or finish reading a book I have been procrastinating.
Romanticize a Small Task
Sometimes I’m in a funk because I’m overwhelmed. I remind myself that rest is productive too. I cancel what I can and just be.
Give Yourself Permission to Do Less

Reminder
You are not your thoughts, your feelings, or your situation. This moment doesn’t define you. It’s okay to have off days. They don’t erase your progress or your worth.
