For when executive function is low, mess is high, and we need tools that actually help.
Smells fresh without being overpowering, and the bottle is cute (yes that matters). Plant-based, safe around kids. Bonus: no gross chemical smell = fewer sensory triggers.

They’re fun, they change texture with water temp (?!), and they actually work. Also kind of a sensory fidget while you clean. It’s the little things.
Scrubbers and Sponges - Scrub Daddy
For when you need to wipe something right now, and your brain says “nope” to a spray bottle. These don’t leave a heavy residue and are less harsh-smelling than mainstream brands. Keep a container in almost every room.
Tablet-based, low-waste, and aesthetically pleasing. You just drop a tablet in water = DONE. Refillable, so less visual clutter too. Can use any foaming soap dispenser. Refills take up like zero space. Get a cubby or container to put them in so you don't lose them.
Eco-Friendly Foaming Hand Soap | Refillable & Sustainable
Concentrated so you use less, and the pump bottle means no mess. Gentle on skin, no synthetic fragrances, and no slime-like detergent gunk everywhere (yay!). I buy unscented because I like to add my own scents (see my mavwicks note).
I love me some smells, but I like nice essential oil smells, not chemical ones. So I buy unscented laundry detergent and add a little touch of smell from Mavwicks. Love all their scents. Just takes a tablespoon if you are using as a boost so it lasts long enough to make it a great deal.
Luxury Liquid Detergent - Mavwicks Fragrances
Okay this thing is a game-changer if you’ve got small mess-makers (kids, pets, muddy boots, etc). Spot-cleaning couches, car seats, or mystery stains = weirdly satisfying. And not so clunky that executive dysfunction sets in thinking about getting it...
Little Green® Portable Carpet Cleaner 1400B | BISSELL®

Just add water. That’s it. No cleaners necessary. These are surprisingly effective and reduce the number of decisions you have to make (aka fewer brain tabs open). And washable and reusable so no added waste. I've started replacing my paper towels with these.
Home Cleaning 8-Pack - E-Cloth
These are freaking adorable, and effective. Keep one in each bathroom (can be left on convenient hook cause they are so cute) for wiping the mirror - no streaks, no fuss. Also oddly satisfying to use—perfect for “productive procrastination” days.
Window Cloth | All Home Care - All Kitchen - Norwex
Super versatile (dishes, floors, hand wash, even body if needed). Add a few drops to water or make your own custom cleaner with essential oils you actually like. (My fav scent of theirs is almond, but I've started getting unscented to make my own scents.)
Unscented - Pure-Castile Magic Soap - Dr. Bronner's
Mint matters. Helps deter rodents (especially important if you live in the country), bugs, and masks pesky trash odors as well. Mint trash sacks are the change you never knew you needed.
Mint Trash Bags
Protects sensory-sensitive hands and adds that “cleaning costume” effect some of us need to get in the mood. Bonus: they are freaking adorable!
