I used to wear the same running shoes to gym and to hangout, my feet hurt and the shoes looked beat up fast. I split my rotation into 3 running, gym, and casual and my shoes last longer and my feet don't hurt. These are 15 pairs I actually tried for ...

Running
I run 3 times a week on asphalt near my house, my old shoes made my knees sore after 3km. Pegasus is light and soft but still stable, I can run 5-10km without hot spots. Not the fastest but the most comfortable for daily runs.
Pegasus 42. Nike
My feet get hot and wide after 20 minutes. Ghost has wide toe box and breathable mesh so my feet don't feel squeezed. I use this for easy long runs, feels like running on a pillow but not wobbly.
Women's Ghost 18 GTX Running Shoes
I hate heavy shoes, my legs get tired fast. Clifton is super light with thick foam, feels bouncy. I use it when I want to run slow and recover, looks chunky but surprisingly light.
Clifton One9
I overpronate and my old shoes wore out on the inside. Nimbus has gel that absorbs impact, my ankles feel safer.
Gel - Nimbus 28
For days I want to run faster, not just jogging. This has a nylon plate that pushes me forward. I use it for tempo runs and 10K races, not for daily easy runs.
Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 Review
Gym
I used running shoes for squats and almost slipped. Metcon has flat hard base, my feet feel locked when I squat 80kg. Not for running, but perfect for leg day and HIIT.
Nike Free Metcon Shoes
I do CrossFit style workouts, need shoes that can lift and jump. Nano is stable for deadlifts but flexible enough for box jumps. I use this 4 times a week in gym, most versatile.
Nano X4 Training Shoes
My gym floor is slippery and my old shoes had no grip. NoBull has super grippy outsole and wide base. Looks simple and clean, I also wear it for casual walk after gym.
Men's Gray Jungle Camo Outwork Flex Shoes
I have narrow feet and Metcon feels too wide. Dropset fits tight and breathable, good for machines and dumbbells. Feels more like a casual sneaker but stable.
Dropset 4 Training Shoes
I wanted cheaper gym shoes than Nike but still good. Fuse has good heel lock and cheap
Fuse 4.0 Training Shoes
Hangout
I want shoes that look clean with jeans and shorts. 550 is retro basketball look, goes with everything. I wear it for coffee and mall, comfortable for 5k steps.
550 SL - New Balance
Everyone wears Samba now and I get why. Low profile, leather, looks good with straight jeans. Not for running, but for hangout it's the most versatile. Gets dirty fast though, need to clean.
Samba OG Shoes
Classic for a reason. I wear this when I want to look a bit taller and clean. A bit heavy for long walks but super durable, I had mine for 2 years still white after cleaning.
Nike Air Force 1 '07 LV8 Men's Shoes
need suede and nylon that breathes. 327 is light, retro running look but actually for casual.
327 - New Balance
I wanted something different from Nike and Adidas. Mexico 66 is slim, Japan look, light. I wear it for dinner and casual dates, looks more expensive than it is.
