An absolutely magical place with amazing biodiversity. Equal distances from San Jose or Liberia airports (2.5-hour drive). Make sure to bring some waterproof clothes for the gorgeous misty showers.
We cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. Rooms, service, views, location, food were all 11/10.
Koora Hotel
We did a private birding tour and a night tour with Nasua and were super happy. The guides were lovely and really knowledgeable. We saw lots of animals we would not have been able to spot on our own.

Right next to Koora Hotel and such a special place. Walk about ⅓ of a mile up to the “zona de descanso” for a gorgeous clearing with a view and tons of hummingbirds.

Beautiful beaches, warm weather, and plenty of nature. You could not ask for a better combo. Getting here requires around a 3-hour drive from San Jose.
