Some heat and dry weather (and dry skin) approved skincare picks! I love skin flooding before I put my make up on, which basically means I’m layering as many toners as I can before my moisturizer.
Oh she is soooo good. Easily lifts even stubborn make up and leaves your skin feeling hydrated.
Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
Admittedly, I always feel a bit weird blasting my face with fancy grape water but this works amazingly well as a first step before skin flooding with toners. It’s also just extremely refreshing on a hot day!
Grape Water Moisturizing Face Mist
This is a lovely all around hydrating toner that makes for a great base for make up or just to give your skin a little boost.
The Base Face Milk - Clean and Vegan Facial Essence
Another hydrating essence/toner I rotate into my daily skin care. This one is extremely luxurious and hydrating—if you’re sensitive to smell there’s a slight rose scent but it’s not at all overpowering.
Divine Skin: Rose 001™ The Essence
If you can’t tell, I love a moisturizing toner!!! I’ve been experimenting with this one as a daily source of vitamin c and really like it—it’s quickly become a favorite of my skin flooding routine.
Barrier Booster Orange Ferment Vitamin C Essence
If you’re interested in testing out a hydrating toner but don’t want to spend the big bucks, this one is fabulous and extremely affordable.
Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner
I fear this product is absolutely worth the hype and price—I really wanted it to NOT work, but it truly does hydrate and relax the look of fine lines.
This little stick of eye serum is my depuffing + moisturizing hero.
Green Tea Caffeine Bright-Eye Serum
One of the few moisturizers that can go the distance in a Phoenix summer and keep you looking dewy all day.
The Dewy Skin Cream Replenishing and Plumping Moisturizer
I love this cream as a lighter (and travel) skincare option—it’s a favorite of make up artists for a good reason. I’ve never had an issue with break outs while using it, and it never pills with other skincare products.
Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre Moisturizer 2.54 fl oz
This sunscreen won’t be for everyone—it has a more oily texture than your typical sunscreen and a floral scent I personally love. I find this sits extremely well under make-up and has never irritated my skin.
Sunscreen
I’m actively trying to ration this Korean sunscreen since it’s become harder to get in the U.S. The Korean product (versus the one they make for the U.S. market) has additional sun filters the FDA is behind the rest of the world on approving.
Beauty of Joseon Sunscreens
I love these masks!! I always find sleeping in them is a bit weird until it starts drying down, but I also like using them for an hour here and there when my skin is feeling dry and cranky.
BIODANCE Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask, Overnight Hydrogel ...
Truly my favorite lip gloss—it lasts, isn’t sticky, and really moisturizes.
Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment
Sadly, my skin can’t handle retin-a products, especially living in the desert but I’ve found azelaic acid products to be the best alternatives for me. This one also has salicylic acid in it for fighting break outs.
