Romantacy/Fantasy
This. Freaking. Book. I cannot recommend the series enough. The perfect ending to the best 12 books I’ve ever read. I’m going to link the whole book collection because once you read one, you’re hooked!!
Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass 7)
Love a good box set when everything matches!! I personally loved reading assassins blade then throne of glass (if you like to read things chronologically then this is the way to go) also recommend doing a TOD and EOS tandem read and will send you a g...
Throne of Glass Paperback Box Set by Maas
Finished off the SJM fantasy collection this year and LOVED these a lot more than I thought I would! The end of the second book made me 🤯. Loved that these books are set in a more modern setting!
Crescent City Hardcover Box Set
A different kind of fantasy but just as amazing! Definitely no romance in these but all the thrills of a SJM read.
THE MISTBORN® SAGA - THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY
Thriller/Mystery
Another good intro thriller that’s easy to get into and keeps you at the edge of your seat!
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
The start of my mystery/thriller era this year. An easy read that keeps you hooked!
The God of the Woods: A Novel by Liz Moore
My first darker read, wasn’t too heavy but definitely more intense than my other reads. A good toe to dip into the dark side of mystery/thriller novels.
Then She Was Gone: A Novel: Jewell, Lisa
The twist in this one actually got me good! The mixed POVS keeps you interested in the plot.
The Only One Left by Riley Sager
Really enjoyed the character in this one and the ending takes a very interesting turn.
The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager
Fiction
One of my favorite reads this year. A different kind of story for TJR but literally brought me to tears. Outside of her writing romance and characters, she has such an amazing way of amercing you in whatever world she’s writing about.
Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This one surprised me how much fun I had reading it! Strong characters and unique story concept.
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
Nice easy read with a satisfying conclusion.
The Wedding People by Alison Espach
Romance
Had me smiling and kicking my feet the whole time, finished it in one day!
Yours Truly (Part of Your World #2) by Abby Jimenez
My first read from this author, another one I just couldn’t put down! I loved the character and story so much.
Books - Just for the Summer: Jimenez, Abby
A TJR a had missed when I first discovered her but so interesting the way it’s written!
One True Loves: A Novel: Reid, Taylor Jenkins
Nonfiction
Loved to have this as a physical book but if you can get the audiobook, loved that she read it. So interesting to hear it with the authors inflections!
