Brunch
No matter what you’re in the mood for, The Skillet has something for you. I always get the Farm Skillet with a side of pancakes. And the coffee flights are BOMB
The Skillet, Freehold
I really like this place for their healthy options. The wraps are also to die for
Toast, Manalapan
The most unique dishes. I had a croffle flight (croissant + waffle) the other day. Are we kidding??
Tatum’s Table, Lincroft
Another place with super unique dishes. The bacon egg and cheese rice balls are my absolute favorite I could eat 12 of them. Breakfast sushi was cool too, but not nearly as delicious
Stax, Marlboro
This is my go to for quick, affordable, reliable breakfast. I love their half sandwich + half salad combo meal. Reminds me of Panera but 10x better
Turning Point, Old Bridge
Is it a little pricy? Yea. Is it worth it? Also yea. This is such a good birthday brunch spot and their specials are always 10/10
Over Easy Kitchen, Marlboro
Dinner
Portuguese style with weekly menu changes. I’ve literally never had a bad meal there. Hidden speakeasy in the back with elevated cocktails.
Lita, Aberdeen
If I’m going to dinner for my birthday, graduation, etc., I’m choosing this place. Every. Single. Time.
618, Freehold
This is not just a meal, but an experience. Farm to table, four-course prix fixe menu with weekly changes. Very unique, fine dining
Heirloom Kitchen, Old Bridge
Good quality food, feels like fancy dining but it’s not going to break the bank
Il Leone, Matawan
If you love pizza and pasta, go here. Just go. My fav restaurant in Jersey right now.
La Lupa, Manalapan
For context, I don’t eat steak. For a steak lover, I wouldn’t recommend this place. However, when I go and have pasta, especially their “meat and potatoes” gnocchi?? I’m in heaven
