After my third forgotten-calculator incident, I went down a rabbit hole testing every calculator watch I could find. Some had buttons too tiny to press under stress, others died mid-semester. These are the ones that survived real exam conditions.

A watch calculator handles quick math, but some exams need a real one. My problem was never owning a calculator. It was always leaving it behind. These are small enough that they live in my bag permanently.

Nothing worse than your only pencil snapping during a scantron test. I showed up to a midterm once with a single mechanical pencil that jammed on question four. Never again.

The real problem was never the calculator. It was my chaotic backpack where everything sank to the bottom. Once I organized my exam gear into specific spots, I stopped forgetting things entirely.

Ran out of time on a two-hour exam because I had no way to track it. My phone was confiscated at the door. Now I wear a watch to every single test and it completely changed how I manage sections.

Four-hour exams in freezing lecture halls turned me into a shivering mess who couldn't focus. Once I started dressing and preparing for comfort, my scores actually went up. Not joking.

All the gear in the world won't help if you don't actually prepare. But the right study tools made my prep sessions way more efficient, which meant less panic on test morning.
