Finding a clock that handles two separate alarms without blasting both people awake was harder than it should have been. These are the ones we tested that actually respected both schedules.

Before we found these, my 5:30 alarm was basically a grenade going off in a shared bed. Vibrating alarms changed everything for the person who gets up first.

My partner hates loud alarms but responds really well to light. These simulate a sunrise on one side of the bed. It sounds gimmicky until you actually wake up feeling human for once.

When one person's alarm goes off, the other person needs sound cover. A good white noise machine became our secret weapon for protecting the late sleeper's last hour of rest.

Once we added a sunrise lamp on one side, we needed to keep that light from reaching the other side of the bed. These made it possible to have light on one nightstand and total darkness three feet away.

Two alarm clocks, a sound machine, charging cables, sleep masks. Our nightstands turned into a disaster zone. These kept everything organized without needing bigger furniture.

Sometimes tech isn't enough and you just need to physically block out the world for one more hour. These are the comfort items that let the late sleeper actually stay asleep after the early bird leaves.
