I used to buy the cheapest bubble wrap I could find and still got damage claims weekly. Turns out the thickness and bubble size matter way more than I realized. Switched to these and haven't had a single breakage email since March.

Half my breakage problem wasn't the cushioning. It was using flimsy boxes that got crushed under heavier packages during shipping. Once I switched to proper corrugated boxes, damage dropped immediately.

Empty space inside a box is where breakage happens. I learned this the hard way when a customer sent me a photo of a shattered ceramic bowl just floating in a half-empty box. Now every cubic inch gets filled.

Boxes popping open during shipping was another problem I didn't see coming. Regular office tape is basically decorative when a 40-pound package shifts on a truck. Industrial packing tape changed everything.

After fixing my boxes, wrap, and fill, the last piece was making sure carriers knew what they were handling. Bright warning labels sound silly but they genuinely made a difference in how my packages were treated.

When I started shipping more than 10 orders a day, hand-cutting bubble wrap and wrestling with tape guns was eating two hours every evening. These tools cut my packing time roughly in half.

Some items need more than standard bubble wrap. Glass art, antique mirrors, electronics with screens. These are the specialty products I pull out when something absolutely cannot arrive damaged no matter what.
