A round-up of products that have helped my dry skin stay hydrated.
Simplicity is the key, containing only Centella. Use this toner with your bare hands and tap to your face, and get your skin hydrated.
SKIN1004 - Madagascar Centella Toning Toner
It has PDRN, a salmon DNA-derived ingredient that's usually reserved for more 'advanced' Korean skincare products. For dry skin like mine, the effect feels different, my skin feels more 'filled in' rather than just hydrated on the surface.
Anua PDRN 100 Hyaluronic Acid Booster Toner
As someone with dry skin, finding a toner that actually hydrates (not just wipes) is a struggle. This one delivers! The texture is watery but not lacking — it layers well under serum/moisturizer without pilling.
COSRX Hydrium Watery Toner
This toner not just help your skin to get the moisture, but also helps to make your skin plumper and bouncier.
I usually use this after toner. This essence help to hydrate your skin deeper, strengthen skin barrier, and also makes your skin feel supple.
Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner
After using it in a few weeks, my skin doesn't react as easily to new products anymore, and the dry patches I used to get around my nose and cheeks have calmed down thanks to this product.
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule
Use this right after toner, it helps your skin to prepare better for the next products. The texture is not too thick and layers really well.
SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica First Ampoule
Hylauronic Acid in a serum form if you need an EXTRA hydration. The texture is thick, so that you'll feel that your skin is moisture enough.
Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum - The Ordinary
I used this to ‘seal’ my skincare. Apply at the end of my routine, and it feels like it helps the skincare before to absorb better, and help to repair my barrier.
SKIN1004 Centella Soothing Face Cream
The texture is thick, almost balm-like, but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. For my dry skin, this has been great for calming down redness and flakiness.
Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream
I've tried other ceramide creams that either feel too rich or take too long to absorb, but this one hits a nice middle ground. It sinks in fast enough that I can layer sunscreen or makeup right after without any pilling.
SKINTIFIC 5X Ceramide Barrier Moisturizer
My 911 moisturizer whenever there's a redness or irritation on my skin. It soothes and calm downs instantly, leave it overnight and you'll get healthy skin in the morning.
Somethinc Calm Down! Skinpair R-Cover Cream
What I love about this is you can reapply over and over again because the gel texture absorbs quickly, and doesn't feel heavy at all when you multi reapply it.
Aloe Revitalizing Soothing Gel - Innisfree
It has a slightly oily texture, but when you apply to your face surprisingly non sticky at all. This extra richness is exactly what I need, especially at night.
Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Lotion
I like using this with a cotton pad as an overnight mask, just pat it in and let it sit overnight.
