Suncare for those with the sensory scaries☀️
I am a pale, pale person, and have a history of skin cancer in the family. I take sun care quite seriously…but I also have MASSIVE sensory issues around sun care products. These will all be products I’ve worn that don’t weigh down my face in product, leave no cast, and don’t feel so sticky I wanna immediately go shower.
I’ll also add some clothing recs, because what you wear can really help with keeping you protected. These are items you’d want to use along side of, or in some cases instead of your normal sun care routine.

I am a thorough and detailed consumer. This list will discuss items I have used at minimum three times - more likely over several months. I do a lot of research before buying items as I want to make sure they won’t irritate my skin so most of this will not be a quick buy or based on a “trend”. I try whenever possible to buy things that are recommended by dermatologists, aestheticians, or long-term, well respected members of the beauty community.
I also care a lot about brand message and ethos. I always buy cruelty free (leaping bunny certified is my preferred standard). I try to buy from B Certified or 1% for the planet corps, and I like to look into the environmental factors as well - what are the bottles made of? Fo they have a recycling programme? And so on.
