I hit a point in this book where I HAD to stay up and finish it! It focuses on refugees running from the horrors of the Soviet Union during WWII, as the Nazis were not the only people terrorizing innocent people.
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys
A fascinating read following a musician’s role in the resistance!
The Black Swan of Paris: A WWII Novel - Books
One of the easiest 5 stars I’ve given! I love how this story focused on women who played a role in cracking codes during WWII!
The Rose Code by Kate Quinn
I loved the various points of view of characters that cross paths with the same woman — a war criminal on the run after killing unsuspecting innocents in Europe during WWII.
The Huntress: A Novel
This book includes the perspective of Italian Jews during WWII. It’s important to never forget the courage of those willing to stand up in the face of injustice.
Our Darkest Night by Jennifer Robson
A heartbreaking story about love prevailing in the darkest of times.
The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
Love this book, the message, and the artistry of the writing.
