I read a lot of fantasy books, but this one felt so different. The magic system was unique and fascinating, and the story was gothic and beautiful. It’s still a romance, but it’s a sub plot and so worth it.
One Dark Window (The Shepherd King, #1) by Rachel Gillig
This is one of those rare books that made me laugh AND cry, sometimes at the same time. Such a cute and heartwarming story.
