We try to visit parks as often as we can because it helps break up the days and weeks. Here’s a running list of everywhere we’ve tried in the north metro area of Minnesota! My kids are ages 8months and 2.5 years and parks with fencing are a big bonus...

Â
📍FOREST LAKE, MN - Not fenced in and pretty small. But it does have a big dinosaur slide which is a fun and unique feature.
Bixby Park
Â
📍WYOMING, MN - Not fenced in but in an open area with low traffic. It keeps my son busy but it’s a little dated and nothing spectacular.
Tolzmann Park
Â
📍FOREST LAKE, MN - Not fenced in and it gets busy with a lot going on which I don’t like. Convenient location right in downtown FL at the public beach. Nice little park for smaller kids.
Lakeside Memorial Park
Â
📍SCANDIA, MN - Not fenced in and not a lot of variety but it’s in a quiet area away from traffic and not busy. It also has swings, several pickleball courts, and a skateboard park.
Scandia City Hall Park
Â
📍COLUMBUS, MN - Not fenced in but located in a wide open area. Separate little playgrounds for smaller kids and bigger kids. My 2.5 year old enjoys both.
Columbus City Park
Â
📍MARINE ON ST CROIX, MN - Not fenced in, wish it was as it gets busy. But a nice large park with a lot of variety for all ages. Located right by the Big Marine Lake public beach.
Big Marine Park Reserve
Â
📍CHISAGO CITY, MN - Not fenced but in an open area. Not a huge playground but plenty of variety to keep my toddler happy.
Paradise Park
Â
📍STACY, MN - Fenced in and also in a quiet rural area. Not a ton of variety but it’s fun and seems big to my toddler.
Stacy City Park
Â
📍LINO LAKES, MN - Semi-fenced in little park with separate playgrounds for bigger kids and littler kids. Nicely updated and isn’t usually super busy. We have fun here.
Lino Park
Â
📍WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN - Not fenced in but big and spacious with a lot of variety for all ages.
Polar Lakes Park
Â
📍HUGO, MN - Mostly fenced in and contained which I loooooove. It’s seriously huge and they have so much variety for kids of all ages and abilities. My 2.5 year old loves to play here.
Lions Park
Â
📍SHOREVIEW, MN - Not fenced in but this is a massive park with a large age range of amenities. There’s a smaller playground for toddlers and quite a few areas for bigger kids. Very unique park with some cool playground features!
