Books I COULD NOT put down.

items I read quite a bit and it is probably my main hobby. I gravitate more towards horror and sci-fi but will dabble in some romance and fantasy. Do not judge me for my recommendations 😂.

This series is one of the most unhinged, hilarious series I have ever read. To get the full effect, listen to the audio books!

This book had me doing nothing for about 12 hours. I finished this in less than a day. Do not watch the new show on Apple, just read the book.
Dark Matter: A Novel: Crouch, Blake - Books
Â
Karin Slaughter is hands down one of my top 5 authors. Every book of hers just sucks you in. With this one though, DEFINITELY check TW. It can get kinda dark.
Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter
Â
Kevin Wilson's books are so ridiculous and funny. This is another author where you need to listen to the audio of his books. This is probably my favorite of his.
Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson
Â
Literally one of my favorite books so far in 2025. If you are a Gothic romantasy lover, you will eat this up. Part 1 of The Eating Woods Trilogy.
Anathema (The Eating Woods, #1) by Keri Lake
Â
Talk about rip your heart out. This is part 2 of the amazing Gothic universe that is The Eating Woods Trilogy. It dives deeper into our MMC backstory and it will KILL YOU. Patiently (not) waiting for the 3rd book.
Eldritch (The Eating Woods) - Lake, Keri: Books
Â
Keri Lake has been taking up all my free time recently. Her books are so addicting. Won't give too much away about this one but this is probably one of her best books. If you like audiobooks, definitely try this one out on audio.
Nocticadia by Keri Lake

This is probably my first 6 star read of 2025. Joe Hill took a long almost 10 year break from writing and came back with this absolute masterpiece.
King Sorrow: A Novel: 9780062200600: Hill, Joe: Books

There is a reason this book has been listed on every award list and won a Pulitzer. If you haven't read this yet, what are you waiting for?

It took me almost a year to finally buckle down and read this. I am so mad at myself for waiting so long. I chose to listen to the audio instead of physically reading the book. If you like audio books, I would HIGHLY suggest listening to Alchemised. ...
