The level of hospitality in New Zealand is outstanding. Most of our stays were mid-range price wise - each one was first class in comfort, décor and just a general welcome vibe.

There are so many options to choose from in Rotorua - we were happy with our choice. Just a word of warning. The smell of rotten eggs (sulphur) from the springs can be overwhelming, depending on how the wind is blowing.

Beautiful decor, felt very glamorous at a reasonable price. The restaurant and bar area is fabulous. Great location - easy walk to restaurants etc. Would definitely recommend.

This overnight cruise was very special. The scenery was amazing. It was the stargazing at night on the deck of the boat that will stay with us forever. We came in from Queenstown by coach and left via a seaplane. It was stunning!!!

How we got to where we were going
We flew from Perth, Australia to Auckland directly (6 hours) non-stop. For the next 14 days we travelled by boat, by plane, by car and by train to get the most out of this amazing country.
