Regular cloth bibs were useless — my kid would launch peas and they'd roll right off onto the floor. Switching to silicone bibs with deep pockets changed the entire dynamic at dinner.

My son's favorite hobby was launching his plate across the table like a frisbee. These suction plates ended that phase overnight and saved me from mopping pureed sweet potato off the baseboards.

I was sweeping and mopping after every single meal until someone told me about splat mats. Now I just shake it off outside and toss it in the wash once a week.

Spilled milk was literally making me cry. Every cup I tried either leaked from the lid or my toddler figured out how to disassemble it in under thirty seconds.

Some meals call for full-body armor. When it's spaghetti or finger painting or anything involving beets, a regular bib doesn't cut it and I was changing outfits three times a day.

The highchair itself was fine but it needed some upgrades. A better tray cover, a footrest, and some cushioning turned it from a food-launching station into something that actually works.

Starting solids was terrifying and exciting and incredibly messy all at once. These are the things that made me feel slightly more prepared and slightly less like I was winging it entirely.

Once my toddler moved from the highchair to the actual table, a whole new mess frontier opened up. These covers saved our dining table from looking like a Jackson Pollock painting.

Half the mess wasn't even at the table — it was in the stroller, the car seat, the couch. Containing snacks during transport was a problem I didn't know I needed to solve until I did.

Before solids even started, bottle feeding had its own mess situation. Spit-up on every shoulder, milk dripping everywhere — these kept the damage contained during those early months.

Even with all the prevention in the world, there's still cleanup. But these tools cut my post-meal scrubbing from fifteen minutes to about three, which adds up to actual hours of my life back.
