I tried masking tape and a Sharpie for years. It peeled off in a week from the heat behind the TV. These labels are made for cables and they don't budge.

Half my cable confusion came from owning seven identical black HDMI cables with no markings. Switching to color-coded or clearly branded cables solved half the problem before I even started labeling.

Labeling cables only helps if you can actually see the labels. When everything's tangled in a pile on the floor, no amount of tags will save you. These boxes changed that.

The real reason I kept pulling cables was because my TV only has three HDMI ports and I own five devices. A switch means you never unplug anything again.

Once I labeled everything, I realized the cables were still a spaghetti pile. Routing them properly made the labels visible and the whole system actually usable.

I had a cheap power strip daisy-chained to another power strip behind my TV. An electrician friend saw it and almost had a heart attack. These replaced that disaster.

After labeling, switching, and routing, the last step is making the back of your TV look like it belongs in a normal home and not a server room. These finished the job.
