If you're staying a bit longer in Valencia than the weekend-trippers, booking yourself a Coliving or renting an apartment make a lot of sense. Here's a mix of what I've tried or what I've heard good reviews of.

I stayed a couple of months in Vivarium. You have your own room and bathroom, the rest is shared and it comes with an office space! The community is nice, you will meet a lot of people.

When I came the first time to Valencia, I stayed in one of the apartments from MyCo. Clean, convenient, always in a good location. Check out their AirBnb offerings for whatever suits you best.

I've heard great things about Folks Coliving (and the reviews match that), it's worth checking out.

Idealista is the number one website to find rentals. If you stay long-term, it's worth it. But expect a lot of messages, you have to be quick and willing to go and have a look straight away.

If you need an office space, Valencia is not short of options. In the Coliving I'm sharing above there are already offices, but if you need to rent an external space, check these out.

I've been here a couple of times. Great area, friendly people, nice vibe. Not too quiet, this one (which I prefer)

Wayco has a couple of branches. I visited one and it was too quiet for me, but everyone has there preferences!

I've heard good things about Miksi, I will try it out. It's a Coworking Cafe, you pay and can buy food with your credit. Win-win, of you ask me.

A friendly and smaller Coworking with a social group. Downstairs are for the walk-in workers and you can also book a more permanent place upstairs. Good coffee machine!

How to get around

Valencia has two train stations and has good connections with Madrid, Alicante, Cullere and the smaller towns with train stations. I find Trainline an easy site to use for all train journeys.

Omio cvn also be used for train journeys, but I somehow prefer Trainline for trains, and Omio for bus journeys.

If you stay longer than a month, you may want to consider signing up for Kleta. It's a rental bike (around 25 EUR). It comes with a handy app, and they fix the bike within 48 hours. I love my Kleta!

For traveling in Valencia, the mus is very reliable and cheap. Check online the time table.

Valencia has a small, but practical and reliable metro service.

Learn Spanish

I think DuoLingo is great for vocabulary. I am learning new words and because of repetition and fun games, they actually get stuck. OF course you will not get fluent, but it's a good start.

Valencia has many many Meetup events, but Amigos Valencia also comes with a Whatsapp community. Every Sunday a picknick in the park (I went, very friendly and low key), you will meet people in no time

Meet people, get fit. The social running club is there to make friends.
